The iconic Hotel Eden Rome is an oasis of calm in the heart of the city and has been welcoming celebrities, royalty and other illustrious guests since 1889. A member of the Dorchester Collection, it’s a 5 star luxury hotel that was the perfect choice for the first leg of our Roman holiday. GETTING THERE Our flight took us 2 and a half hours from London Heathrow, and it was then a smooth 45 minute taxi ride from Fiumicino to the hotel.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS The smartly uniformed staff welcomed us at the door and showed us inside the hotel, which has an open plan lobby with many antiques and floral decorations. I loved the lounge area with its pretty butterfly pendant and cosy sofas. CHECKING IN This only took a few minutes and we were swiftly shown to our junior suite.
