Angelus Restaurant is one of those hidden gems that you want to keep for yourself, serving up French classics with a twist in West London. Located next door to Hyde Park Stables and a few minutes from the Park itself, it’s a wonderful place to experience contemporary French cuisine in a relaxed yet cosy atmosphere.
Housed in a former pub frequented by Winston Churchill and other political figures, it has stunning Art Nouveau interiors and an outdoor dining area for warmer days. When we visited, there was an eclectic mix of business people, families, couples and friends. There’s something indefinable but very warm about this place, due in part to the staff who are engaging and love sharing their passion for food with guests.
