The Elite London bills itself as four luxury lifestyle events rolled into one – the best in aviation, cars, marine and premium lifestyle brands. So when the invitation to attend came through my letterbox, I was intrigued. Held at Rizon Jet UK, a spacious VIP terminal located at London Biggin Hill Airport, it promised to be an interesting day out.
On arrival at the exhibition, this open cockpit sports plane immediately caught my eye. I don’t know which I liked best, the retro styling or the vivid yellow colour. WACO Aircraft is a family-owned American company, and the only FAA approved manufacturer of 1930’s sport biplanes worldwide. This particular model is a 2000 WACO YMF-5C with retro styling but modern hydraulic toe brakes and advanced avionics. Whilst we were admiring the WACO, we heard the unmistakable sound of a Supermarine Spitfire approaching. There’s something very emotional about seeing these planes in action. It really made me think..The post Private Jets, Supercars and a Spitfire at The Elite London appeared first on Luxury Columnist.
