Not many restaurants are named after the co-owner’s mother in law but Margot, Covent Garden isn’t your average place. Located on Great Queen Street away from the crowds, it’s in a handsome stone building. The brainchild of Paulo de Tarso and Nicolas Jaouën, it specializes in authentic, seasonal Italian cuisine.
As soon as we walked in, we noticed the friendly vibe and stylish decor. Designed by Fabled Studio, it’s a pleasing combination of circular shapes and subtle blue-green tones. You know the nursery rhyme, “10 Green Bottles hanging on the wall”? Well here, there are a whole host of bottles adorning the staircase that leads down to the private dining room and bar.
