Carousel London is a family affair – run by the four Templeton cousins, Ollie, Will, Anna and Ed who are equally passionate about food, drink and travel. Located on Blandford Street in Marylebone, it’s not only a restaurant but also an art gallery and events space for hire. We were invited to sample the festive feasting menu, hosted by co-owner and resident chef Ollie Templeton.
Ollie certainly has good form, having previously worked at acclaimed restaurant Moro’s in Exmouth Market. He’s integrated those Spanish influences into his cuisine, with a particular emphasis on wood-grilled dishes. Carousel has a regularly changing line-up of guest chefs, and has recently played host to Henrik Norén (Gro, Stockholm), Oswaldo Oliva (Mugaritz, San Sebastián), and Shaun Presland (Saké, Sydney). We kicked off in style with an interestingly named cocktail, the “Will You Be My Clementine Goose?”.
