With Spring having finally sprung, a visit to Sake no Hana to see it’s spring blossoms and sample its seasonal Sakura No Hana menu is a must. Sakura means cherry blossom and as you’ll see, there’s a wealth of it on display at this St James restaurant. Specializing in modern but authentic Japanese cuisine, it’s part of the rapidly expanding Hakkasan stable.
You certainly get the wow factor before you even enter the restaurant. Whilst we were there, several diners came in, exclaiming at the blossoms so it’s a great place to impress a business prospect or a romantic date. The main restaurant is upstairs, and we had been invited to dine in the light and airy ground floor bar. The interior was designed by well known architect Kengo Kuma, with stylish accents of bamboo and a green glass chandelier.
